Families at Shabbaton

We will have specific times where childcare is being offered, and at other times children and teens will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Our Shabbatons are family-friendly events, and we encourage families to join! We cultivate a vibrant youth village and intergenerational experience, and believe that it truly does “take a village to raise a child.” We create an atmosphere where tots, children, and teens receive the support they need to find their unique place within community, and enjoy the wonders of Shabbat in the forest.

During the Shabbaton for Kabbalat Shabbat in the evening and Shacharit in the morning, experienced mentors will take youth ages 4–13 on activities, modeled after our B’hootz and B’naiture programs. Teens over 13 participate in prayer services with the whole village. Please see below for more information.

Please note that, while we provide supervision and programming, all parents and guardians are responsible for knowing where their children and teens are at all times.

Shabbaton Family Offerings

Youth mentors and parent volunteers will lead simple activities, hikes, stories, and songs during the day. We provide structured activity and supervision blended with space for creative, spontaneous play.

Families with youth enrolled in B’hootz, B’naiture, or Shomrim receive a 30% discount off the entire family’s registration fee.
