Our Site at Mount Tamalpais Sate Park
Our site is the Alice Eastwood Grove Group Campsite, which is nestled in the redwoods of Mt. Tamalpais State Park in Marin County. The gate to our site is located on the Panoramic Highway across from the Mountain Home Inn.
We will be using both of the adjacent group campsites which include picnic tables, drinking water, shelters, flush toilets, barbeque grill, fire ring, and a large area for personal tents. One campsite and restroom is wheelchair accessible. The total capacity is 21 cars and 75 people, so carpools will be essential. We will also shuttle people down to the site from an upper overflow lot. Sorry, dogs are not allowed by the park.
Weather is changeable and cool in the shaded redwood grove, so come prepared to bundle up.
The drive can be very foggy, especially at night. Please drive slowly and safely.
Carpools
Carpooling (3 to 4 people per car) is essential. We are limited to only 21 cars in the parking lot for 75 participants. After you register, you will receive a link to an online carpool board so that you can arrange your own carpools. Additional cars will park on Panoramic, and we will shuttle people down to the site.
Directions from the East Bay:

- The turnout for the site will be on your left across from the Mountain Home Inn (look for the Wilderness Torah signs).
- Pull off, open the gate, drive through, close the gate behind you (do not lock) and drive about 2 miles to the end of the road. That’s our site!
Below is a Google Map from Berkeley to the site. This is OUR recommended route, not Google’s. If you map this yourself on Google, it is much more circuitous, and you are more likely to get lost. So use this route from the East Bay!
