Passover in the Desert
A Personal Journey in Community
Thursday, April 1 through Monday, April 5, 2010

*Please fill out an evaluation form if you attended the festival*

Please join us in co-creating our third annual Passover pilgrimage to the Panamint Valley in the southern California desert!

Passover calls on us to free ourselves from the narrow places (mitzrayim) in our lives and reminds us that true liberation is a community experience… no one is truly free until we are all free.

ritualOur experience in the desert embodies simplicity, connection, tribe and transformation. We’ll leave our electronic devices at home as we make Exodus to the rugged desert wilderness, experiencing the joy and abundance of living, eating, singing, and praying together in the blooming spring desert.

The festival will include optional services and other spiritual offerings, music, yoga, classes, communal meals, our annual Tribal Seder around a roaring fire, plus time to connect in small groups, commune with nature, and plenty of time for your own personal exploration in this powerful landscape.

Everyone is welcome at Wilderness Torah events. We create pluralistic, multi-generational community celebrations to reconnect us to the earth-based traditions of Judaism. Participants should be comfortable in the outdoors and committed to a shared group experience. Prior camping experience is recommended. Please join us to learn about and celebrate the holiday of Passover!
