Join Zelig for a talk: Renewing and Celebrating Earth-based Jewish Traditions (Afikomen Judaica in Berkeley): August 26, 7-8:30PM.
At a time when concern for the environment is rapidly growing, and when we are increasingly seeking relevant vehicles for Jewish life, Wilderness Torah awakens and celebrates the earth-based traditions of Judaism and creates experiences aligned with the cycles of nature and the cycles of our lives. Zelig will speak about how renewing and celebrating our earth-based traditions, including land-based festivals and rites of passage processes, can strengthen individuals in their personal journeys, weave strong fabrics of multi-generational Jewish community, and teach skills necessary to live sustainably in the modern world. Come learn about the next festival, Sukkot on the Farm (September 23-26) or how you can get involved in exciting, new community programs.
